Agility Fun Run!

Sorry it's taken Mom and I so long to post. We wanted to show you the video from my Agility Fun Run taken just before Christmas, but Mom was having major troubles with the video upload on blogger. Finally, she loaded to You Tube. I'm just happy she finally got it loaded!

Every so often between agility sessions, if there is an upcoming holiday, my wonderful agility instructor, Stacey Hawk, organizes an Agility Fun Run. This was my first fun run, so I was quite excited. Everyone was quite proud of me when I was done as I did really well for my first time running at a new site. My classes aren't held at this location, so Stacey wasn't sure if I'd pay attention, oh, but I did!

A few explanations before you view, I wasn't supposed to do the dog walk, I was supposed to do the tunnel again. The dog walk at my school is only a foot high, I've never been on a dog walk that was full size, but I was so pumped, I just kept going and did just fine! (Note: on my second run, I fell off the dog walk. Got a bit too cocky and went too fast!) And at the very end are the weave poles. I haven't been trained on those yet, so my teachers were just trying to get me to walk straight through to get comfortable, but since when does an Airedale actually listen to what others are telling them?

I hope you enjoy my video, I know I enjoyed running the course. Oh, please ignore Mommy's commentary. Apparently she forgot that the voices get recorded too. Silly Mommy!

'Till Next Time,
Kirby

Excellent work Kirby! Ma says you remind her of Oscar at his agility. He too would choose what equipment he fancied doing that day!

Kirby, what a very good clean run! You will do exceptionally well once you've mastered all the obstacles. Terriers are known to run fast ya know? But the floor there looks slippery so it's prob hard for you to run fast. I enjoyed the video alot!

Kirby, you are a superstar! You looked so great on that course. Never mind the stoopid weave poles...they're very confusing.

Good job Kirby! I sometimes take private agility lessons. I can't do regular agility 'cause the equipment isn't Mastiff friendly (like the dog walk is too narrow for my wide self). But you did great, Dude and it looks like you enjoyed yourself.

Wow Kirby that was great! My mom wants me to go to learn how to do that when I get older but now with my knee injury she is having 2nd thoughts. I need your help we are having a pawty. Can you check out my blog?

Wow, Kirby! You are way more advanced than me! My girl won't let me do the A-frame yet because of my toe, she's scared I'll re-injure it. The weave poles are my most difficult thing too. I go super slow on them. Also, my hind legs often fall off the dog walk and it makes my girl gasp because it's a full size dog walk too. I usually am able to pull myself back up though. The tunnels, chutes, and teeter totter are my favorites. What are yours?

Yo Kirby...Babystan here...I got to do my first agility at obedience class yesterday. It was pawsome. Lacie went for her first obedience class too...ya shoulda seen her on the equipment...she fell off that HUGE scramble thing...was hanging by her collar. Didn't seem to bother her, but it freaked Mumsie out....she ran right back up, however. Little dogs have a lower center of gravity....not fair!!!

Hey, I'm back at Penn State with Bruvver for a couple days or till the landlord sees me...yep...Babystan is in college! Mumsie gave me all of this crap bout NO: drugs, alcohol, chicks, bad food, not enough sleep etc etc. So far I've only humped one lab....yep...sweet...

Will post later!

Kirby, that was PAWSOME! I think I would have been really scared on that tall dog walk. I hope you didn't get bumped up too badly when you fell off.

Your friend, Lenny
