Fun at Grandma & Grandpa's!

A couple of weekends ago, Mom, Dad and I packed up the car and headed off to Grandma and Grandpa's for the day. When I go to their house it is pure fun. They spoil me rotten and I get to run wild on their 10 acres, plus they have a lake to swim in. Wooo hoooh!

As soon as I arrived, I took off for a run in their yard. I'm a city dog, so they have got a lot of grass to run and graze on. He he!
My Uncle John is always willing to play with me, so he started to throw my ball around for me. I just love my Uncle John.
Even when everyone else started to go inside to eat, I still wanted to play with my Uncle. Can you see the concentration on my face. I really, really want him to throw the ball!
Of course, a dog can only play fetch for so long, so then I'm off to the lake for a swim. The geese weren't on the lake that day, which disappointed me. I love to chase the geese off the water.
This picture was taken when I was supposed to be getting in our car to head home, but I wanted to check out the creek that runs behind the lake. There's a beaver that lives back there, and I sooo want to catch him!
Ahhh, nothing beats spending time at my Grandparents house. I can't wait to go there and visit again!!

Computer is fixed, Bark in the Park and an AWARD!

My amazing Dad finally removed all traces of the Malware virus, so I am happy to be back on the pooter and blogging again! Thanks Dad, you're the best!

A few weeks ago, I participated in my 3rd Bark in the Park. Bark in the Park is a 5k walk and festival that benefits the animals that the Anti Cruelty Society of Chicago takes care of. Mom always says that its good to give back, so I love to help out pooches who are less fortunate than I.

I just love Bark in the Park. I love to sniff all the other dogs, play bitey face and just act silly. I didn't even want to sit for this picture to be taken. I wanted to get going!
As usual, we wormed our way to the front of the pack of walkers (Dad keeps trying to get on TV...sheesh!) and were off and speed walking quickly! Along the course, there are human water stations and doggie water stations. Being the picky dog that I am, I would only drink out of bowls with fresh water in it. He he! (sorry the picture is flipped the wrong way, it won't load correctly).
After the walk, we headed over to the food tent to get some treats. They had bananas and string cheese, two of my favorites, so I was in a GREAT mood! After the treats, Mom had my paw print done, this one will be the third one she has, she feels the need to get a new paw print done every year at Bark in the Park. Then, I had a post walk mini-massage from my favorite ladies at Integrative Pet Care. After I was good and relaxed from my massage, we walked around and checked out all the booths with vendors.

While we were walking around, I met this gorgeous Aire-girl Erin. She was so sweet and wanted to play with a fellow 'dale.

After all that excitement, we were all tired and ready to go home. On the way back to the car, we saw that another side of the park was having a kite festival. Look at how cool those kites are! One was even shaped like a cat! Can you believe it!!!
Molly and Taffy were so kind to give me the Neno's Award. Thank you so much for this pawsome honor Molly and Taffy!

Broken Computer

Sorry I've been away from your blogs and so bad about updating mine, but Mom somehow got a virus on our computer that has been very hard to get rid of, so we are not using it 'till the virus is gone for good. Hopefully, we'll be back up and functioning soon, but in the meantime, Mom is illegally blogging from her work computer. Hope she doesn't get caught! If any of you know how to get rid of the Malware virus, let us know. Dad thinks he's figured out how to delete it, but better safe than sorry.

Your pal,
Kirby

Wishing all the Moms a wonderful Mother's Day!

Mom and I were chatting tonight and we realized just how long it had been since 1) we posted on my blog and 2) since we left comments on our friends blogs. Oh, we felt just horrible. We've been busy with tons of different things, but that is no excuse to ignore our blogging, and we promise to work harder at it. Ok, now on to more important things....

Happy Mothers Day to all the Mommies out there. It doesn't matter if you've got hooman pups or if you are an animal mommy. Happy, happy Mothers Day to you all!

I absolutely ADORE my Mom. Dad says my world revolves around here, I simply say that she is GREAT! I thought I'd include some nice pictures of my Mom, but in my searching, I realized she's not in many. Guess the picture taker gets left out a lot. He he!

This is the very first picture of me and my Mom. I was seven weeks old and had no clue what was going on, but I sure am happy that I ended up with her!!

I love to follow Mom around the house and mimic what she is doing. Below is a favorite picture of mine, as we are both enjoying a nice quiet nap.
My Mom is totally pawsome. She makes sure I'm in good health and worries herself if I'm not. She ensures that I'm groomed and clean and that I have stylish collars for all seasons. In a word, she is simply GREAT!
Happy Mothers Day to my wonderful Mom and Happy Mothers Day to all you wonderful Moms out there! Enjoy your very special day!!

'Till next time,
Kirby
