Computer is fixed, Bark in the Park and an AWARD!

My amazing Dad finally removed all traces of the Malware virus, so I am happy to be back on the pooter and blogging again! Thanks Dad, you're the best!

A few weeks ago, I participated in my 3rd Bark in the Park. Bark in the Park is a 5k walk and festival that benefits the animals that the Anti Cruelty Society of Chicago takes care of. Mom always says that its good to give back, so I love to help out pooches who are less fortunate than I.

I just love Bark in the Park. I love to sniff all the other dogs, play bitey face and just act silly. I didn't even want to sit for this picture to be taken. I wanted to get going!
As usual, we wormed our way to the front of the pack of walkers (Dad keeps trying to get on TV...sheesh!) and were off and speed walking quickly! Along the course, there are human water stations and doggie water stations. Being the picky dog that I am, I would only drink out of bowls with fresh water in it. He he! (sorry the picture is flipped the wrong way, it won't load correctly).
After the walk, we headed over to the food tent to get some treats. They had bananas and string cheese, two of my favorites, so I was in a GREAT mood! After the treats, Mom had my paw print done, this one will be the third one she has, she feels the need to get a new paw print done every year at Bark in the Park. Then, I had a post walk mini-massage from my favorite ladies at Integrative Pet Care. After I was good and relaxed from my massage, we walked around and checked out all the booths with vendors.

While we were walking around, I met this gorgeous Aire-girl Erin. She was so sweet and wanted to play with a fellow 'dale.

After all that excitement, we were all tired and ready to go home. On the way back to the car, we saw that another side of the park was having a kite festival. Look at how cool those kites are! One was even shaped like a cat! Can you believe it!!!
Molly and Taffy were so kind to give me the Neno's Award. Thank you so much for this pawsome honor Molly and Taffy!

Neno's Award: ~

What a day!

I was so relived to see the update from Jackson's P's that he did well during surgery and was resting in intensive care. The next few days are still very critical, so let's keep our paws cross the zen flowing and the positive thoughts and prayers going strong! If we all keep barking loud and wishing on the dog star this strong little guy will be home for his birthday on Friday! We are all behind you Jackson. Keep on fighting!!

So, after hearing about Jackson's good surgery, I was on cloud nine and was even happier when I found out that I had won the GOLD MEDAL in Lenny's Pawlimpics Swimming (Aquatics) contest. Congratulations to me fellow winners, Asta and Asta-Marie. I love winning with the ladies!
I am absolutely loving the Pawlimpics. I think it's better than the actual Olympics. Woof Woof!
To top it all off, my Aire-pal Bogart honored me with this wonderful award! Thank you so much Bogart. I do hope we can be Blogging Friends Forever!!

Awards, Weird Things & Durango

Thanks for stopping by, I'm trying to catch up on my blogging and responding to tags and awards. Blogger was acting up for me tonight, so no pictures, I'll try and upload some later in the week. I wanted to start out by saying THANK YOU to all the wonderful dogs that gave me the 'You Make My Day' Award! I am so honored to receive this award, so a HUGE thanks goes out to: Bogart, Lacy Lulu, The Thuglets and my new pals Poppy & Penny. You all made my day by giving me this great award!

The rules say that I am supposed to pass this award on to 10 friends, but as I got caught up on my blog reading, I saw that everyone seemed to have gotten the award already, so to any of my pals who have not received this award, I am happily passing it on to you!

Maggie and Mitch tagged me to share 7 weird things about myself, so here I go:

1) I never watch where I am going when I'm walking, so I'm constantly walking into things! (while jogging today, I ran into a parking meter!)

2) I've got jaws of steel, I have yet to meet a toy that I couldn't break or tear apart.

3) I still have very white teeth. Dad brushes them at least once a week, and each day I get a dental chew to keep my teethies looking good!

4) When I got neutered, I won the award for being the 'biggest' boy neutered that day. No kidding, my vet specifically told this to Mom and Dad, she was quite proud.

5) I love fruits and vegetables. In fact, I go crazy when Mom cuts up her veggies for the week. Just got to get some of that celery!

6) I freak out when anyone sneezes. Don't know what it is, but that sound makes me go crazy. I tuck my butt and run around in circles.

7) I'm in looove with my veterinarian, Dr. Marks. I love going to the Vet, I happily stroll in and just about run to the exam room. If I don't get to see Dr. Marks, I pout and am cranky the rest of the day. When she walks into the exam room, I jump up and lavish her with kiss after kiss! She is the best!

Before I pass this tag on, I want to see who has and hasn't been tagged just yet.

Finally, I was brought to tears when I saw that Durango, the latest addition to the brat pack had crossed the rainbow bridge. He was just a young pup that Maryann rescued from the SPCA and was diagnosed with Parvo within a few days of coming home and joining the pack. Stop by their blog and give Maryann and the rest of the Brat Pack your best. Durango was very lucky to have such a loving family even if it was for such a short time. Run fast and free with Dakota and Thrawn, Durango!!

Playing Catch Up Again

So, Mom had to go on another business trip last week, so now we are playing catch up (again).

I'm honored that my lovely pal Putter has awarded me this Golden Rose. Thank you so much Putter. I am so excited that you would think of me!!

I would like to pass it on to my pals Bogart, Faya and Keeley! You guys and girl are great friends, thank you for being such wonderful blogging pals!!

Now, on to other business, we've been tagged quite a few times already, so here we go:

Maggie & Mitch and Happy all tagged me to share with you seven annoyances that I have.

1) I hate when Mom and Dad put me in the way back of the car. Who do they think they are leaving the middle seat up between us?

2) When my bowl is empty I'm not a happy camper.

3) I get quite annoyed when the vacuum makes an appearance. I bark, I paw, I bite at it, yet it keeps on going!

4) I hate waiting to get my Christmas presents. Mom has them all boxed up in the office and I'm not supposed to sniff or peak. What's a dog to do?

5) I do not like to get humped by other dogs. I don't hump other dogs (just my giant stuffed toys!), so why should I get humped?

6) I get annoyed when other dogs won't play with me. I love to play and just can't understand why they don't wanna play too.

7) My biggest annoyance is the word NO. I hear it far too often and it usually means bad things.

Molly & Taffy and Lenny all tagged me to share eight random facts about myself:

1) I was born in Kaukauna, WI, but moved to Chicago at 7 weeks old. No Packer fan here, I'm a proud Chicago Bears dog!

2) I had a rough first year. I had pneumonia, e-coli, panosteitis and several other issues. No problems, I'm all good now!

3) I wasn't supposed to go to my Mom and Dad. I was promised to another man, but he switched jobs and felt he couldn't care for a puppy, so Mom and Dad were moved up on the waiting list, and were invited to come and get me!

4) I rarely bark. I'm more of a whiner and crier. Only when I'm really excited do I bark.

5) I'm known as the class clown in my agility class. I could be perfect all class then do something so silly, everyone bursts our laughing.

6) I'm known as a bit of a chunky monkey. I lose a few pounds then I gain them back. I'm a food loving dog!

7) I'm the only dog in my condo building. I have to go up and down the street to find my neighborhood pals!

8) I love my Mommy the most! Dad may be home with me everyday and take me on the majority of my walks, but I'm a mommas boy through and through. I wait at the door each day for her to come home!

I have no clue who has and hasn't been tagged, so if you haven't feel free to share!
