Computer is fixed, Bark in the Park and an AWARD!

My amazing Dad finally removed all traces of the Malware virus, so I am happy to be back on the pooter and blogging again! Thanks Dad, you're the best!

A few weeks ago, I participated in my 3rd Bark in the Park. Bark in the Park is a 5k walk and festival that benefits the animals that the Anti Cruelty Society of Chicago takes care of. Mom always says that its good to give back, so I love to help out pooches who are less fortunate than I.

I just love Bark in the Park. I love to sniff all the other dogs, play bitey face and just act silly. I didn't even want to sit for this picture to be taken. I wanted to get going!
As usual, we wormed our way to the front of the pack of walkers (Dad keeps trying to get on TV...sheesh!) and were off and speed walking quickly! Along the course, there are human water stations and doggie water stations. Being the picky dog that I am, I would only drink out of bowls with fresh water in it. He he! (sorry the picture is flipped the wrong way, it won't load correctly).
After the walk, we headed over to the food tent to get some treats. They had bananas and string cheese, two of my favorites, so I was in a GREAT mood! After the treats, Mom had my paw print done, this one will be the third one she has, she feels the need to get a new paw print done every year at Bark in the Park. Then, I had a post walk mini-massage from my favorite ladies at Integrative Pet Care. After I was good and relaxed from my massage, we walked around and checked out all the booths with vendors.

While we were walking around, I met this gorgeous Aire-girl Erin. She was so sweet and wanted to play with a fellow 'dale.

After all that excitement, we were all tired and ready to go home. On the way back to the car, we saw that another side of the park was having a kite festival. Look at how cool those kites are! One was even shaped like a cat! Can you believe it!!!
Molly and Taffy were so kind to give me the Neno's Award. Thank you so much for this pawsome honor Molly and Taffy!

Neno's Award: ~
As a dedication for those who love blogging activity and love to encourage friendships through blogging.~To seek the reason why we all love blogging.~Put the award in one post as soon as you receive it.~Don’t forget to mention the person who gives you the award.~Answer the Award’s question by writing the reason why you love blogging.~Tag and distribute the Award to as many people as you like.~ Remember to notify the awardees and put their links in your post.

So...why I love blogging. I love blogging because it has allowed me and my Mom to meet so many amazing dogs and people! Never before could we have imagined we would have blogging friends from around the world! I also love blogging because it introduced me to the amazing community of Dogs With Blogs. Everyone involved with DWB is so caring and Mom and I are so proud to be members. I hope that everyone continues to blog for a very long time!

I am so happy to pass this award on to: Mr. T-Bone Beasley, Faya and Dyos and Niamh and Ambrose. Enjoy!

'Till next time,

Kirby

It looks like it was a great day for the Bark in the Park! And a massage! AND bananas and string cheese. It was YOUR lucky day and a great benefit, as well.

Nice walk. I don't know why there are no walks like this one in Switzerland...too bad.

That walk looked like a lot of fun, Kirby. I'm picky about my water too. Fresh is best. I'm glad your computer is fixed now. How did you like that hot weather we had earlier this week? I hated it! My girl still made me walk for a hour each day in that weather and kept insisting that it really wasn't that hot yet. I begged to differ! I thought maybe I was going to die of heat stroke or something!

Yeah Kirby's Dad! Good job fixing the puter! Bark in the park looks like a lot of fun. We get too nervous with that many dogs around.

Thanks for the award. I will get my person to post it this week.

I'd love for you to come visit me again! I liked meeting both you and your mom at my party. But my girls were pretty sure we'd hit it off. You should come soon because my sister is getting bigger every day!
